Monett, MO : Verona woman injured in wreck north of Monett on Saturday, November 13th 2016

A Verona woman was injured Saturday in a wreck at 9:20 a.m. on Farm Road 2160, one-tenth of a mile east of Farm Road 1070 and six miles north of Monett.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Heather Moennig, 30, of Pierce City, was driving a 2014 Dodge Journey westbound, following a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker, being driven by Patsy Watson, 63, of Verona. As Watson's vehicle slowed to turn off the roadway, it was rear-ended by Moennig's vehicle.

Watson suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Cox Monett Hospital. Moennig was not injured.

Both were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles were totaled.
