Rockville, IN : Bridgeton man killed in a single-vehicle accident in Parke County on Thursday, May 5, 2016

The Parke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Thursday that turned fatal.

Officials report the accident happened on Rosedale Road near Jefferies Ford Bridge Road.

PCSO said Bart Barnes, 64 of Bridgeton, was driving a 2003 Dodge truck west of Rosedale Road when he veered off the left side of the road and drove through a fence.

The truck continued west into a row of trees and then went north across Rosedale Road and into an open field and eventually struck a tree.

Barnes was taken to St. Vincent Clay Hospital were he was pronounced dead.
