Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 in Chippewa County Wednesday.
Merle Harberts, 79, Chippewa Falls, Kurt Jones, 45, Chippewa Falls, and Jessi Jones, 39, no address given, were all taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
According to the Chippewa County sheriff’s office, a pickup truck driven by Kurt Jones was southbound on 40th Street attempting to cross Highway 29 when it failed to yield and was struck broadside by an eastbound car driven by Harberts.
Traffic was restricted to a single lane for about one hour while the accident was cleared. It remains under investigation.
