An Owensville teen is dead after a high-speed accident in a residential neighborhood.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says about 3:25 a.m. Wednesday morning, 18-year-old Nicholas Holzschuh was traveling at a high rate of speed in a 1995 Ford Explorer on Franklin Street. He crossed the center line and hit a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country and also a 2003 Dodge Ram that were both parked. Holzschuh's car then hit a 1990 Ford F350 that was also parked on the side of the street.
Holzschuh was ejected from the vehicle and emergency crews flew him to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. He was later pronounced dead.
Dalton Adams, an 18-year-old and also from Owensville, was a passenger in the Explorer . He suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
According to Highway Patrol, Adams was wearing a seat belt and Holzschuh was not.
