Two men were taken into custody over two days on drunken driving offenses connected to two collisions with injuries in Douglas County.
A South Lake Tahoe man was arrested on Tuesday for reckless driving and DUI as a result of an accident that occurred in Zephyr Cove.
Jody Campos, 46, was booked after what was reported 11:40 a.m. as a head-on accident that sent a 9-year-old girl to the hospital.
According to the Douglas Sheriff’s Office, Campos was in custody on Wednesday on $1,000 cash only bail.
He had been reported as a reckless driver before the collision at Highway 50 near Presbyterian Curve.
The girl was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center by CalStar ambulance helicopter.
A Carson City man was taken into custody on Monday morning in connection with a five-vehicle collision at Highway 395 and Mica Drive that resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire.
David Black, 34, was identified as the driver of a 2014 Toyota RAV4. Black was reportedly southbound on Highway 395 heading toward the Mica traffic signal where three other vehicles, a Chrysler Sebring, a pickup and a Ford Fusion were stopped in the fast lane at the light.
Black failed to stop and struck the rear of the Chrysler, which ran into the pickup, which ran into the Ford.
