Marysville, IN : Brian Rosenbarger Jr., 16, died in a car crash on North New Market Road on Saturday night, Nov 7, 2015

Friends and family grieved Sunday for a Southern Indiana teen killed in a car crash Saturday night.

Brian Rosenbarger Jr., 16, died on North New Market Road after the truck he was in ran off the road in Marysville.

"He was at my house all the time, spending the night and swimming and called me, 'Grandma,'" Ginger Jones, a family friend, said. "He was just a loving kid."

Jones said she's still grieving.

"My grandson actually called me and told me and I was in disbelief," Jones said. "I didn't believe him"

Sunday, she helped put up a cross as a memorial for Rosenbarger near the bridge where the accident happened.

"We love him, and we wanted to show how much we loved him and how he's always going to be in our hearts," Jones said. "We're never going to forget him."

Rosenbarger was a sophomore at New Washington High School. The school held a vigil in his honor Sunday.

Rosenbarger was the only boy in his family, but had five sisters. Friends and family say he loved driving and working on trucks, and Sunday, his friends left tire marks on the bridge to memorialize him.

"Brian loved that, loved that black smoke," Chris Parkhill, another family friend, said. "He always liked building stuff and working on stuff ever since he was little."

Rosenbarger was heading hunting with a friend who was driving the truck according to family members. The friend is in UofL Hospital recovering. Friends and family say he is in stable condition after having brain surgery.

It's not clear what caused the crash, but a spokesman for the Clark County Sheriff's Office said that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors.
