Staten Island,NY : one person hurt in motorcycle crash on Hylan in Prince's Bay on April, thursday 27th 2017

One person was transported to the hospital Thursday after a crash involving a motorcycle in Prince's Bay.

The crash was reported at 1:43 p.m. near the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Holton Avenue, according to a FDNY spokesman.

The gender and age of the individual are not known at this time, nor are the severity of the person's injuries, the spokesman said.

The crash occurred within blocks of Staten Island University Hospital's south campus, though according to the FDNY the individual was transported to the hospital's Ocean Breeze facility.

Video of the aftermath of the accident posted on social media shows a green motorcycle lying on its side in the street. A second bike is seen standing up about 20 feet ahead.
