Hagerstown, MD : Bicyclist seriously injured in Hagerstown collision on Wednesday night, October 12, 2016
A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured Wednesday night when his bike collided with a car in the 400 block of West Antietam Street in Hagerstown, according to city police.
Officer Heather Aleshire of the Hagerstown Police Department said the teenager suffered head trauma and was taken to Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.
Aleshire said police did not know his condition Thursday.
The police investigation indicated that the rider was at fault in the collision, she said.
The crash was reported at 7:41 p.m., according to a Washington County Emergency Services supervisor.
Further details of the collision were not immediately available, Aleshire said.
