A man died and another was charged after a wreck Monday in south Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Police said Richard Grabowsky ran a red light on Rea Road and hit a car driven by John Kalna Jr. Kalna’s car hit two other vehicles that were stopped at the red light in the left turn lanes on Rea Road at Ballantyne Commons Parkway.
Kalna was taken to a hospital and later died as a result of his injuries from the crash.
A warrant was issued for Grabowsky for misdemeanor death by vehicle. On Tuesday, Grabowsky was arrested and served the warrant. The drivers of the two other vehicles were not injured.
