Ranger, TX : Dallas truck driver dies in Interstate 20 crash early Tuesday morning, April 12, 2016
A Dallas man was killed when his tractor-trailer rig ran off Interstate 20 in Ranger early Tuesday morning and crashed into a creek.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the man as Robert Lee Scott, 73.
Scott was driving east on I-20 about 5:30 a.m. when his truck drifted off the left side of the road and drove over a concrete bridge barrier.
The DPS reported that Scott, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck on impact.
The truck landed on its driver's side in a creek between bridges of I-20.
The crash remains under investigation by Eastland DPS Trooper Robert McGrath.
