Las Vegas, NV : Trooper injured in crash on I-15 south of Sahara Avenue on Thursday morning, July 30, 2015

A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper suffered minor injuries in a crash this morning on Interstate 15 just south of Sahara Avenue, according to the Highway Patrol.

The trooper was conducting a traffic stop just after 11 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-15 when his patrol SUV was struck by a sedan, Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.

He was sitting on the driver's side of the SUV when the crash happened, she said.

The trooper was taken to University Medical Center, and no one else was transported to the hospital, she said.

It was not immediately clear if the driver of the other vehicle was cited.
