Gary, IN : A man died early Sunday after he was struck in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday, June 18, 2017

A man died early Sunday after he was struck in a hit-and-run crash in the 2000 block of West Division Street on the North Side, Chicago police said.

He was crossing the street about 1:30 a.m. when someone driving a white Toyota Camry hit him, police said. The pedestrian had been traveling north while the motorist was heading east.

The motorist kept driving and didn't stop, according to Chicago police.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:56 a.m.

He was identified as Eric Judge, 23, of the 2100 block of North Kedzie Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The crash remains under investigation.
