LA CRESCENT, MN : Caledonia woman, 84, dies in collision on Tuesday, 2nd March 2021

A Caledonia woman died Tuesday after a two-car collision in La Crescent.

Martin Nolt Hurst, 73, of Lime Springs, Iowa, was driving a 2004 Volvo semi tractor south on U.S. Highway 61 at 11:09 a.m. Tuesday when the semi collided with a 2003 Lincoln Town Car heading east on Second Street, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

Lucille Ann Petersen, 84, of Caledonia, a passenger in the Lincoln, died in the crash. According to the State Patrol report, she was not wearing her seatbelt.

The driver of the Lincoln, John Nockoli Petersen, 87, of Caledonia, was transported to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse with non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt.
