Lasvegas , NV : 47 - Years old pedestrian was hit and killed by a pickup while crossing Flamingo Road outside a marked crosswalkon Sunday night, January 18th 2015

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a pickup Sunday night while crossing Flamingo Road outside a marked crosswalk, Metro Police said.

The truck was westbound on Flamingo, west of Decatur Boulevard, about 10:25 p.m. when it hit a 47-year-old Las Vegas man, police said. He was not at an intersection, police said.

The man was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not released, pending notification of family.

The driver, a 49-year-old Las Vegas man, remained at the scene, police said. The accident remains under investigation, police said.
