Liberty, IL : Woman injured in two-vehicle crash in Adams County on Saturday, March 18, 2017
A Liberty woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:36 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ill. 104 and the Plainville blacktop.
The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a 2011 Honda Civic driven by Cassandra Singleton, 26, of Pittsfield, was turning west onto Ill. 104 from the Plainville blacktop (E1700th) and did not see an eastbound 2015 Dodge Caravan driven by Heaven Schoonover, 25, of Liberty. The sheriff's office said Singleton turned in front of Schoonover's vehicle, resulting in a collision.
Schoonover was taken by the Adams County Ambulance Service to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of what were described as minor injuries.
Singleton did not seek medical attention.
The sheriff's department said Singleton was cited for failure to yield from a stop intersection.
The Liberty Fire Department assisted at the crash scene.
