Chicago, IL : 1 dead, 3 injured in suburban I-88 crash on Sunday, March 26th 2017

A Woman was dead and three others were hospitalized after a crash on Interstate 88 in Oak Brook early Sunday, according to state police.

Two Lincoln sedans, one blue and one silver, were both eastbound on the interstate near York Road about 2:15 a.m. when the silver Lincoln lost control, ran off the road and hit the right guardrail.

The silver Lincoln bounced off the guardrail and hit the blue Lincoln in the middle of the highway.

One passenger in the silver Lincoln, a 23-year-old woman, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the silver Lincoln, a 22-year-old woman, and her two other passengers, both 23-year-old women, were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

No other injuries were reported.

It was not immediately known why the silver Lincoln lost control. The crash is under investigation, police said.
