LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL : Woman, 39, died in Lake Worth Beach hit-and-run crash on the 600 block of North Dixie Highway near the intersection with Seventh Avenue North on Tuesday, 17th December, 2019

A 39-year-old woman died early Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash in Lake Worth Beach, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office authorities said.

The crash happened shortly before 6 a.m. on the 600 block of North Dixie Highway near the intersection with Seventh Avenue North. A PBSO crash report indicates the woman was “improperly crossing” Dixie from the east side to the west when a 2005 Cadillac SUV hit her.

The driver fled and the woman died at the crash scene. The crash report says the SUV has the Florida license plate CPG1015.

PBSO had not released the woman’s name as of 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The report said it had not notified her next of kin. It also said the woman did not have a permanent address.
