Allentown, PA : An ambulance crashed and rolled down an embankment off Route 33 on Thursday, 28th June 2018

An ambulance crashed and rolled down an embankment off Route 33 early Thursday in Monroe County, a dispatch supervisor said.

The vehicle from West End Community Ambulance rolled over around 2:30 a.m. on Route 33 southbound at mile marker 25.8 near the Snydersville exit, the dispatcher confirmed.

A heavy storm was moving through the area at the time.

A photographer at the scene said emergency crews treated three patients, with at least one transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono.
