Stockton man dies in Highway 99 crash in Salida California

A Stockton man died after losing control of his motorcycle Saturday afternoon in Salida, according to a report by The Modesto Bee.
The Stanislaus County Coroner's Office has identified the dead man as Rudy Anthony Torres, 25, the newspaper reported.Torres reportedly was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Highway 99 north of Kiernan Avenue when he passed on the right side of a vehicle traveling in the fast lane.Torres lost control of his motorcycle while maneuvering back into the fast lane and crossed into the center median before striking a guardrail and then a warning sign, the California Highway Patrol told the newspaper.Torres was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in northbound lanes, the Bee reported.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
