TOLEDO, OH : TPD Man leads police on chase causes several crashes on Friday, 2nd February 2024

Toledo Police officers arrested a man for allegedly leading police on a pursuit and causing several crashes Friday morning.

Michael Rego II, 41, faces a felony charge of failing to comply with a police order and two misdemeanor traffic offenses, according to Toledo Municipal Court records.

Officers say they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Rego and after initially stopping, Rego proceeded to speed through a red light. Officials say Rego then drove more than 110 mph and caused several crashes before crashing the vehicle on Reynolds Road, near Dorr Street.

Rego is set to appear in court on Monday.
