La Harpe, IL : A Tennessee woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash at Hancock County On Monday, July 25th, 2016

A Carthage man was injured Monday morning in a one-vehicle crash in northeastern Hancock County near LaHarpe.

The Illinois State Police reported that Matthew A. Kissinger, 26, was driving south on Illinois 9 approximately a half-mile south of County Road 2800 North at 6:45 a.m. Monday. Police said Kissinger was driving a 2008 Chevrolet

pickup truck and began to drift, crossing both lanes of traffic. Kissinger's truck drove on to the grass shoulder for several hundred feet and then drove into a ravine on the west side of the road, hitting several trees before

stopping. Kissinger, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Carthage Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.

Hancock County EMS and the Dallas City Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
