Broomfield, CO : North Broomfield crash sends one to hospital, temporarily delays traffic on Tuesday, 27th September 2016

A crash Tuesday afternoon closed an eastbound lane and sent one individual to the hospital.

According to Broomfield Police Department, a 26-foot box truck and Honda Accord collided on Northwest Parkway just east of U.S. 287. The box truck tipped on its side.

The driver of the Honda was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center, North Metro Fire Rescue District spokeswoman Sara Farris said. Two occupants of the truck cab were not seriously injured.

The driver of a sedan was in critical condition, Farris said.
As of press time, the cause of the accident still was under investigation.
