Beckley, W.V : Motorcycle rider injured in accident in Raleigh County on Monday, May 16, 2016

A motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital after an accident in Raleigh County Monday.

Around 2:20 p.m. a motorcycle and a car collided on Hinton Road near White Oak, according to a Raleigh County dispatcher.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital as a result of the injures he suffered.

Emergency personnel were delayed from arriving at the scene because of heavy traffic caused by road work in Daniels, dispatchers said.

The motorcyclist’s name and condition were not released Monday evening.
