FRIENDSVILLE, MD : Teen killed in Friendsville crash on Tuesday, 3rd July 2018

One child was killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries when a Ford Explorer operated by a Morgantown woman traveled out of control and overturned Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 68 in Garrett County, according to Maryland State Police.

Five passengers in the vehicle, including four juveniles, were ejected from the 2004 model SUV operated by Crystal Adams, 34.

Four of the occupants were seated in the three-person rear seat and were not wearing seat belts, police said.

The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. west of Sand Springs Road in Friendsville. Police said the vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled several times.
