Lowell,MA : Methuen woman charged in crash on may, tuesday 9th 2017

A Methuen woman crashed into a pole early Tuesday morning in the area of 391 Old Gage Hill Road while driving under the influence of drugs, according to police.

Kristin Thunstrom, 36, was operating a 2013 white Honda Fit when a witness reported she had traveled off the roadway and through a resident's front lawn before striking a telephone pole, police said. Police responded to the area about 6:39 a.m.

No one was injured. Police said it was fortunate the area was not a school bus stop. The road is "highly traveled during the commuter hours," a police press release said.

Thunstrom is set to appear in the 10th Circuit District Court on Friday, May 26.
