DORA, AL : 1 dead following fiery car crash in Dora on Thursday, 7th March 2024

One person is dead after his car caught on fire following a crash in Dora Thursday afternoon.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. Thursday along the 5300 block of Warrior Jasper Road when the victim, who was driving a Toyota Corolla, collided head-on with a Volkswagen Volt. After the crash, the Corolla burst into flames.

The driver, whose name was not released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, was pronounced dead at the scene.
