Denton, MD : Two injured in state Route 313 wreck on Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017
Maryland State Police are investigating a Tuesday morning, three-vehicle accident that injured two people and closed state Route 313 near Denton.
According to state police, Angel Lynn Harrington, 35, of Harrington, Del., was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, and Andres Edgar Ramirez Feria, 53, of Rockville, was taken to University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton. Police said the conditions of Harrington and Feria were unknown Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Harrington, driving a blue Nissan Altima, was traveling south on state Route 313 (Greensboro Road) at about 7:40 a.m. when her Altima crossed the centerline and struck an International Box Truck, driven by Feria.
Police said Harrington was trapped inside her car and had to be extricated by firefighters and emergency medical personnel.
Police said a Jeep Cherokee also was involved in the wreck, striking Harrington's car after the initial collision. Police said the driver of the Jeep, Sean Robert Stouffer, 24, of Denton, was uninjured in the wreck. Police said Stouffer, who is a paramedic, provided medical care to the other drivers.
The MSP Crash Team responded to process the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing.
State Route 313 was closed for about four hours. Maryland State Police received assistance from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office, State Highway Administration and Caroline County Emergency Services.
