DULUTH, MN : two separate crash on Friday, June 2, 2017
The Minnesota State Patrol says the wrong way driver who caused two separate crashes on Friday in Duluth, died in the second crash on the Bong Bridge.
Authorities identified 77-year-old, Dennis Chester Edlund of Centerville, Minnesota as the wrong way driver.
He died in the crash.
Edlund was going eastbound in the westbound lane on the Bong Bridge, which caused the fatal crash.
The crash involved two other cars.
Authorities say no one in the other cars were injured.
Earlier in the day, Edlund was going southbound in the northbound lane on I-35 near the 27th Avenue West exit, which caused three cars to crash.
It happened around 5:15 p.m. Friday.
The State Patrol says two people involved in that crash suffered non-life threatening injuries.
