BURLINGTON, IA : 3 injured in Burlington crash on Thursday, 27th June 2024

Three people were injured in a crash Thursday morning in southwest Burlington, Iowa State Patrol says.

The accident happened around 1:45 a.m. on Mason Road, a police report said. 47-year-old Nicholas McGrane was driving westbound in his 2014 Dodge Durango around a curve and crossed the center line hitting another car nearly head-on.

Police said the car hit, a 2006 Buick LaCrosse, was being driven eastbound by a 16-year-old with 18-year-old passenger Gillian Korver, both from Middleton.

McGrane and Korver were both transported to Southeast Iowa Medical Center in West Burlington and are receiving treatment, state patrol said. The 16-year-old was transported by life flight to the University of Iowa Medical Center in Iowa City and is receiving treatment.
