Santa Rosa, CA: Teen Ashley Carlson Killed In Crash On Llano Road; Ashley Kellogg And Brenton Deveraux Injured Tuesday night May 6th 2014.

3 teens were involved in this crash, and they were all in the same car. A teen girl who was still in high school was killed. She was a passenger. The female teenage driver sustained minor injuries. A male passenger sustained major injuries, but he was expected to survive.

The accident was near Santa Rosa, California, on Tuesday night, May 6, 2014. It was about 8. The location of the wreck was Llano Road, in the vicinity of Todd Road. This is in Sonoma County.

Ashley Carlson was 17 years old. She was a student at Rancho Cotati High School.

Ashley Kellogg, who is 18, was the driver. She is from Rohnert Park. The male passenger, who is also 18, was Brenton Deveraux. Brenton is from Santa Rosa.

Kellogg lost control and veered to one side of the road. She then struck a tree.

SFGate.com reports that police believe Kellogg was driving at “high speeds.” This is not yet confirmed to be excessive speeding. But if it was, then that is a common kind of negligence that Deveraux and Carlson’s family members could use to possibly construct a negligence claim against Kellogg. As passengers, both victims would likely qualify to sue for liability. One good thing in Kellogg’s favor is that drunk driving is not suspected. But that would not be necessary for a civil negligence claim.
