Jefferson County, CO : 2 killed, 2 injured in Jefferson County car accident on Saturday, 17th August 2019

Two men were killed and two injured in a single-vehicle accident Saturday in Jefferson County.

According to an online Kansas Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday when John F. Lewis, 43, of Ozawkie, was northbound on Kansas Highway 237 about 4 miles north of U.S. Highway 24 in a 2002 Chevrolet pickup. The KHP reports that the pickup left the roadway to the west at a curve and overturned several times.

Killed in the accident were Christopher T. Webb, 46, of Topeka, and Luke A. Puccinelli, 21, of Oskaloosa. The driver and Gavin M. Lewis, 20, Nortonville, were taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected serious injuries, according to the report. The driver was the only person in the vehicle wearing a seat belt, the report says.
