LAS VEGAS, NV : Henderson police investigating deadly crash at Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway on Wednesday, 17th January 2024

The Henderson Police Department is investigating a deadly crash at the intersection of Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway that happened on Wednesday evening.

The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 17. According to police, a black and blue GSX-R motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Lake Mead. A silver Nissan SUV was traveling southbound on Boulder Highway, entered the intersection on a green left turn signal, and hit the motorcyclist as they ran a red light, HPD said.

A 21-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. The occupants of the Nissan were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
