Edmond, OK : 17-year-old killed in single-vehicle crash near Creston Way and West 15th Street on Sunday afternoon, Aug 30, 2015

A 17-year-old boy was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash between North Western Avenue and South Santa Fe Avenue, authorities said.

About 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Trevor Wade Allen, of Edmond, crashed his red Mustang near Creston Way and West 15th Street, officials said.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene.

He attended Edmond Santa Fe High School.

Witnesses said Allen's car was driving east and suddenly drove off the roadway across westbound traffic, according to a news release. The car crashed into a tree.

A cause of the wreck has not been determined, officials said.
