Two people were hurt and one driver ticketed when two vehicles collided on Route 197 on Tuesday.

Police said Wendy R. Evarts, 40, of Hudson Falls failed to yield the right of way when trying to cross from Swamp Road to county Route 42.

The 2000 Volkswagen she was driving collided with a 2005 Hyundai driven by Robert J. Willard, 53, of Glens Falls, who was headed west on Route 197.

Evarts was taken to Glens Falls Hospital for treatment of injuries that appeared minor, but her condition was not immediately available. Willard had minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

Evarts was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
