Raleigh, NC : Two people died and two others were injured when their disabled car was rear-ended on Interstate 40 on early Sunday morning September 7th 2014
Two people died and two others were injured when their disabled car was rear-ended on Interstate 40 near the border between Wake and Johnston counties.
The State Highway Patrol says Kevin Lamont Johnson was driving slowly in the far right westbound lane early Sunday because he had a flat tire.
An approaching car was able to swerve to miss Johnson's car. But troopers say a second driver rear-ended Johnson, killing him and a backseat passenger.
Two others in the car, one adult and one child, were taken to the hospital.
No charges have been filed against the other driver, who was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
