Altamont Pass, CA : One dead in a Fatal crash on Interstate 580 in Altamont Pass on Friday, October 10, 2014

One person died after the car they were traveling in overturned and landed in a ditch on eastbound Interstate 580 near the I-205 turnoff. The crash occurred at 6:40 p.m. when the Toyota Camry collided with another vehicle, west of the I-205 turnoff, the California Highway Patrol said. The second car involved pulled over at the next exit and its occupants were uninjured.
