A motorcyclist and a passenger in a car were injured this morning in a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 75, according to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Highway patrol troopers were called to northbound I-75 at mile marker 381 at 8:16 a.m. on a report of a motorcycle colliding with a car. Reports from the scene indicate the motorcycle struck the car from behind.
The motorcyclist and a passenger in the car were taken to UF Health Shands with serious injuries.
One lane of the freeway had been closed but it was reopened by 9 a.m.
