One person was killed and four others, including a child, were injured in a vehicle accident in Huntersville Tuesday, according to officials.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 73 near the Lincoln County Bridge. Medic confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four other victims were taken to Carolinas Medical Center with very serious injuries. Police told WBTV one of the victims was a child, but did not give further details.
No names have been released.
Highway 73 was shut down while crews investigated the crash.
There is no word on what may have led to the wreck.
