KANSAS CITY, MO : 2 KCPD vehicles involved in early morning crash on southbound 71 Highway on Sunday, 27th October 2024

Police responded to a crash on southbound 71 Highway just before Bannister Road at 4:36 a.m. on Oct. 27.

The injury collision involved two Kansas City Police Department vehicles. An investigation shows that police were originally dispatched to another collision at the same location.

When police arrived, they found a black Dodge Charger to be abandoned and wrecked, and a City Tow was ordered for the vehicle.

A Ford Fusion came from behind and struck the rear of the KCPD Ford Explorer while police were waiting for the tow truck.
