Detroit, MI : One person dead and another injured after Motorcycles, car collide at intersection of McNichols, Hubbell Avenue on Thursday morning, April 2, 2015

One motorcyclist has died from his injuries and another is in critical condition after being involved in a crash with a car on Detroit's west side early Thursday morning.

Police said the motorcyclists were going westbound on W. McNichols Road when they collided with a silver sedan that was going southbound on Hubbell Avenue. Police said it appears the car ran a red light at the intersection.

Police said the male driver of the car left the scene on foot, but a female passenger stayed. Police are searching for that male driver.

A Local 4 source said the motorcyclists are both in their 50s.

A man identified by friends as "Rico" died at a hospital later Thursday.

Family members have identified the other as Reginald Mills (pictured below). His daughter tells Local 4 he is fighting for his life in the hospital. He has a blood clot on his brain and will need more surgery.
