Motorcycle crash victim's husband says wife died from heart condition
The husband of a central New York woman who died during a motorcycle licensing class last weekend says she likely suffered a medical condition just before crashing her bike in a mall parking lot.
Eric Pitcher of Elbridge tells The Post-Standard of Syracuse that the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office has told him preliminary autopsy results indicate that his 39-year-old wife Marianne apparently had an undiagnosed heart condition that led to her death.
The couple was taking a motorcycle training class last Sunday at a suburban Syracuse mall when her bike crashed in the parking lot. She was taken to a Syracuse hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Pitchers had been taking the class so they could get their motorcycle licenses and take a vacation on a motorcycle next summer.
