Delaware, OH: Woman killed in Delaware crash on Sunday August 2nd 2015

Police have confirmed one person is dead after an injury crash Sunday morning.Delaware police said a woman was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 36.Police said an SUV was struck on its side by a semi-trailer at about 11:40 a.m. Sunday. The SUV rolled into an embankment by a shopping mall. All were wearing seatbelts.The woman’s husband was flown by medical helicopter to OSU in Columbus and is in critical condition, according to police. The driver of the semi was not transported.Police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played a role in this crash. Officials are still on scene reconstructing the crash, which remains under investigation.The intersection was reopened after several hours of work.NBC4 will have more on this incident as information becomes available.
