Woodruff,SC : Woodruff man dies in motorcycle crash on July, Wednesday 19th 2017

A Woodruff man died after his motorcycle struck a utility pole on Highway 221 near Woodruff Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

David Warren Booth, 33, of Fortenberry Road in Woodruff was pronounced dead at the scene from crash-related injuries at 3:16 p.m., Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said.

The S.C. Highway Patrol said Booth was traveling north on Highway 221 when his motorcycle went off the right side of the road and hit a utility pole near Sheena Drive at around 2:49 p.m.

Witnesses told the Highway Patrol another motorcyclist was riding alongside the victim but was not at the accident scene. That person and any other witnesses are asked to contact the Highway Patrol.
