Beachwood, OH : 22-year-old man killed in a crash on Green Road on Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015

A man was killed in a crash on Green Road early Tuesday morning.

Police said that the one-vehicle crash happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. after a drive lost control and struck a utility pole. Officials had shut down Green Road between Chagrin Boulevard and Bryden Road.

The 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Beachwood Police Chief Keith Winebrenner.

The crash was cleared about 5:45 a.m.

Officials have not released the identity of the driver at this time until the family has been notified.
