MURFREESBORO, TN : Murfreesboro officer injured after hit-and-run at traffic stop on Tuesday, 20th June 2023

A Murfreesboro Police officer was hurt after being hit by a car during a traffic stop Tuesday night.

The officer was sent to the hospital to be medically evaluated where he was alert and talking, Murfreesboro Police Department reports.

MPD reported that the officer was released from the hospital Wednesday morning, and is a little sore but doing well.

Officers are now searching for the suspect and the two passengers in the car that left the scene after hitting the officer. The suspect vehicle is a green 1997 Honda Civic.
