Jackson, MS : 49-year-old Janice Brown, 47-year-old Thomas Odoms Died and three injured after two-vehicle crash on Highway 18 in Claiborne County on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015

According to MHP, a deadly accident on Friday afternoon in Claiborne County has killed two people.

Trooper Eric Henry tells us two vehicles were involved in the crash on Highway 18 near Old Highway 3.

A Crown Victoria, carrying 5 people, veered into the lane of oncoming traffic and crashed into a Dodge Dart. We're told that none of the passengers in the Crown Victoria were wearing seat belts.

Trooper Henry says that 49-year-old Janice Brown of Hermanville died on the scene. He says that 47-year-old Thomas Odoms of Hermanville was taken to Port Gibson Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Both were riding in the Crown Victoria.

Three others involved in the crash were injured.

We're told the driver of the second car sustained non-life threatening injuries.
