TULSA, OK : Man dies in crash after truck hits tree in Mayes County on Saturday, 19th August 2023

A 27-year-old man is dead after striking a tree on Aug. 19, around 6 p.m. on Kenwood Road approximately 3/10 mile East of East 508 Road, approximately 4 miles East of Salina, OK in Mayes County.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Bailey Ables was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 going Westbound on Kenwood Road when the truck went left leaving the roadway causing him to hit a guardrail and then overturn striking a tree.

The Salina Fire Department was able to remove the driver after he was stuck for an hour and 41 minutes, OHP says.
