A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after a violent car accident in West Brighton Monday afternoon, according to police.

The man was traveling westbound on Henderson Avenue in the passenger seat of a gold sedan driven by a 20-year-old male, which lost control near Lois Place, and crashed into a tree.

Police responded to the scene at around 12:50 p.m., and found the driver in the vehicle and the passenger ejected from the vehicle, a police spokesman said.
