Knoxville, TN l Man killed in east Knoxville crash on early Saturday morning, September 13, 2014

Knoxville police identified the man killed after he lost control of his car and crashed into a telephone pole in east Knoxville. The crash on Jackson Avenue near Randolph Street killed Alvin G. Vonner, 52, of Knoxville early Saturday morning. Crews took Vonner to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, but he was dead when he arrived. Officials said Vonner was speeding and wasn't wearing a seat belt. Vonner was the only person in the car. Source : Police identify man killed in east Knoxville crash
