RapidCity, SD : North Carolina biker killed in crash on Hwy 212 in northern Meade County on Friday, July 29, 2016

State officials on Sunday identified 65-year-old Dale Shull of Sneads Ferry, N.C., as Friday’s crash victim in northern Meade County.

Shull lost control of a 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Highway 212 near the Meade-Butte counties line, west of Mud Butte and east of Newell.

South Dakota Highway Patrol investigators said the bike went into a ditch and hit an embankment. Shull, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown and died of injuries at the scene.
